Formation of the Washington dead cats by Mat Firehair and Franck Darlock, guitarist.
They both decided to create a band mixing their tastes for the 30s horror movies, the Hollywoodian cinema of the 50S and their musical influences: Rockabilly, Surf, Garage and Punk77.
Nico would join them soon. He was the drummer of the punk band named Kremlin Kontingent, and they would ask the bass guitarist Sofia "Elly" Bahamas to join them as he was studying at the Fine arts with Mat Firehair.
In June, after only 8 rehearsals, they recorded their first demo CD with 8 songs on which could already be heard Whos behind the window and Swamp vamp. During their first gig, a hysteric cut her veins with a razor blade and so Elly definitely left the band.

His first gig with the band took place in a former cinema in Belleville, le Berry Zèbre. Since that day, the WDC joined the Bondage label.
